    Bilingual (English-French) Service Technician

    In this role, you will be responsible for providing 24/7 maintenance and service to the customer base across the region. You will perform installs, deinstalls, relocations, and corrective and preventative maintenance for complex printer solutions. 

     

    This role is based out of our Ottawa office, servicing our clients in Gatineau.

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities

    • Performing corrective and preventative maintenance on the printer systems which includes printers and pre and post equipment and software at the customer site and/or region
    • Maintaining excellent customer satisfaction, build strong relationships, and meet customer Service Level Agreements to ensure that the company is not penalized
    • Escalating unresolved problems according to predefined service procedures and as per escalation process
    • Performing installations, deinstallations, and/or relocations at customer site
    • Obtaining necessary training necessary to remain current on all technical aspects of PPS systems
    • Ensuring continuous availability in order to provide service on a 24/7 basis including on standby
    • Maintaining parts inventory, diagnostic and phycial tools

    Qualifications

    To Succeed, You Will Have

    • Employee’s Degree, or Vocational or Technical School Degree in electrical or mechanical studies 
    • 5-8 years of experience in data centre IT or commercial printing systems
    • Strong analytical skills are required to review equipment, analyze issues, and troubleshoot systems
    • Excellent project and process management
    • Refined computer, technical and equipment operation skills 
    • Exemplary time management and multi-tasking skills
    • Strong experience with Technical-Knowledge Based Systems, Parts Systems, Oce-CAN, and dispatch system
    • Fluently Bilingual in English and French
    • Occassional travel outside of territory is required
    • Ability to work on standby 24/7 schedule
